Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home with a combined gross family income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up 2025 nsfas application to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
